land related - bought a land of 1000 square feet
1 year ago
I bought a land of 1000 square feet jointly with a friend. in sale deed there is no mention of percentage of land to both person. then what is share of each person in land? if the government provide a service which has less than 800 square feet land then we elligible to get that service?
A.Hi client,
The deed must contain the portion and the schedule details of the land being bought. Kindly check the plan portion in the deed. Every details of property registration are being recorded in the office of the respective BLRO or corporation/municipality/ Land registration department online.
Kindly verify the same. It would be better if you contact an advocate who expertise in property and registration matters for the validity of your land purchase.
Thanks and Regards

A.Dear Client,
Joint ownership of land simply means when 2 or more people own a piece of land or lands jointly. Any right, benefit, claim or over that piece or parcel of land belongs to the owners jointly and not on an individual basis.
You can have equal share of the property or share proportionate to money contributed.
Hope it helps.
