What to do if a witness refuses to give a statement in a case
A.Hi client,
Once a person receives a summon to be a witness in any of the matter before the court he/ she cannot deny the same. Once denied the person will be charged with contempt of court and a warrant can be issued for arrest.
There are specific vital grounds where a witness may not attend a case-
1.Death
2.Hospitalized
3.Somebody in the family is dead/ ill
etc.
Thanks and Regards
