Suppose a person has committed a crime in 2016. He was 22 years old in 2016. Got a government job in 2020. In 2023, the world came to know that he had committed a serious crime in 2016. he is convicted in 2023. In 2023, the crime committed in 2016 is punished. Will he now have to return the salary from 2020 to 2023?
A.Dear Sir,
He need not return the salary received unless there is such direction in the criminal judgment. If you go in appeal and get a stay order then you can retain the job.
