To correct cast on my leaving certificate.

My fathers cast is BRAMHAN but at the time of my admission in primary school they by mistake mentioned my cast as BHAT which is in continuation till my college leaving certificate.
I have approached the school authorities regarding this change but they did not agree to change the same.
Please suggest me the possible ways to make the correction in my leaving certificate.
