I wanted to understand what are the right for a consumer if he receives a consumer durable with manufacturing defect and seller doesn't have service center in the city where the product has been delivered.
Also, seller is forcing consumer to bear the shipping cost. The seller has mentioned this term in the customer support section of its website but buyer has not signed or agreed to this terms. Neither it is mentioned in the invoice nor it was communicated at the time of purchase.
So, in this case what are the rights of a buyer?
A.Dear Client,
If the clause of bearing the shipment was mentioned by the seller, there is little that the buyer can do legally. However on false information, the buyer is eligible to return/ refund the product and file a suit on failure of the same.
