Non renewal of contract - Policy clause - sole discretion of director

is director not responsible to give a professionally inclined resaon for not renewing my contract based on the policy clause stating "sole discretion of director" ?
As an emloyee i have no right to know what made the director to took such a decision ? Between two employees how my employemnt is used to for non renewal
