Case under section IPC 509,506 .

My neighbour family filled a case against me and my sister under 509 and 506 sections by politically influencing local police . They not even informed me before filling online fir. After filling online FIR then they informed me to attend at local police station. As I am government employee. What should I do further. Opposite party is ready for compramise.
If you have not anything why would you compromise it is advisable to you to attend the police station and if its not the case then you should compromise.

I attended police station. C.I said FIR is already booked and that to it is online now. He asked me to make arrangements for station bail. Otherwise they will take me into custody. They asked opposite party to come to the station. I had a talk with opposite party they ready to compromise if their demands are satisfied . I have made a promise to clear their demands infront of police . Police said then move this case to lokadalat for compramise. Actually that was a ladies quarrel. Without intimating me how can they file fir against a public servent without atleast enquiry. My friends suggesting me to pub a private case in them and fight in court . But doing this will ruin my professional carrier. If this matter become serious my department will suspend me.
