I have mistakenly put my father's name wrong in passport application.Now passport office staffs are telling that my father has to give declaration to rectify but father is expired.Now how can I correct my father's name in my passport which is already issued.

A.Dear Sir,
You have to produce documentary evidence in respect of correct name of your deceased father and also file your affidavit along with the affidavit of your mother or your other siblings and thus convince the passport office staff members.

A.Dear Client,

Please produce original identification documents as well as the death certificate of your expired father with the passport office at the earliest in order to rectify this error. Wishing you the best.

Thank u Sir...wish you would be in Kolkata and I could have your guidance,..actually here in passport office,they are telling that they can not even take any other documents as proof except my father's declaration,..and if I do not provide it as he is expired,then rectification is also not possible....I don't know what kind of harrasment is this!
