Sir,I want to ask what legal actions can be preceded by me as I am the owner of a property on Main Road,Gaya,Bihar and infront of my building there are footpath vendors who are Encroaching my front space as there is no place for parking being an old building. The commercial viability of my property is also degrading by these illegal establishments.

A.Hello,
As per the information you have given it is advisable to you that you can give a written complaint to the Municipal Commissioner. The Land Acquisition and Revenue departments will investigate the issue. Executive Engineers have to inspect the spot and file a report. If the report confirms encroachment, a notice is sent to the encroacher.

Sir,
I am very obliged that you took the pain to hear my query.Sir ,As per your suggestion there have been many complaint registered with the Municipal Commissioner but nothing seems to work for there illegal settlement. I am sorry to say but there was a High Court notice to the Gaya Municipal Corporation for the removal of the footpath encroachment although at that time the local police and authorities went into quick action and removed the enchroachment. Sadly they all returned to the same illegal space and this time with more zest and fanfare . The regular shopkeepers are suffering as they have to give rents and taxes but these Footpath shopkeepers are not even allowing anybody to go to the shop at there backside.
It's very very pathetic state, Amazingly the police station is infront of these enchroachments and the local police personnel are getting money every day just to let them defer the High courts orders..incredible...
