I am from Andhra Pradesh, my ancestors have a land next to our home, it’s in our families enjoyment over 70+ years, but We didn’t have any registration or legal documents for the same. I would like to know how could I find if there is any documents related to the property and also if there is no documents at all, what is the processor to claim the rights on the same

A.Hello,
As per the information you have given without any document you cannot claim property. But, you can claim title by “adverse possession” as you stated you were in possession more than 70 years and if all municipal records were in the name of your father then you have a chance to get it legally.

A.Dear Sir,
Just file a dummy suit for declaration on the ground of adverse possession against dummy persons and get one such decree and change the katha in your name.

In the given situation you need help of an Advocate to find out the details of land from Block Land and Land Reform Office giving name of Mouza or name of village or any other land mark nearest to your house so that a searching report showing the name of person in whose favour the land was last mutated in the record.
The task is difficult but not impossible. Once the record of ancestral property is obtained, all the legal heirs may be aware of their share in the property.
