Respected sir, I am a student of class 10 of Kerala State. As I am I student from obc caste and there is financial issues I had requested the Oswaal books and Private limited to had some kind of discount over the books and it was processed by Richa Kulshrestha who is executive Assistant to Editor in Chief of Oswaal Company. And I admitted that I had spoken her in non official time some days and called her multiple times regarding the issues with discount on books or more but on 24/5/2023 I had contacted her and she had blocked me so I contacted from my neighbours phone and spoke and later on 25/5/2023 the company's CEO Prashant Jain had contact me and threatened they will FILE A CASE for harassment against me in UP court. I had not used any vulnerable words on conversation or over chats on WhatsApp. I requested them to not do so but they are not giving confirmation on anything such as Whether they file or not?. Yet I am student of Cbse class 10 and aged 15 it creates a stress, and depression on me. May I know whether they can file a case? If they filed & As I am minor will I get any special privilege? What do you think the case verdict will be helpful for them or to me

A.In case of any harassment by the Company even by lodging any false case against you can protect yourself by taking the recourse of The Juvenile (Care and Protection) Act, 2015. According to sub-section 12 of Section 2 of the said Act, a “child” means a person who has not completed eighteen years of age. The Act classifies the term “child” into two categories: – “child in need of care and protection” . The act basically laid down the uniform framework for juvenile justice in such a way that it protects the right and interests of juveniles.

If such a situation arises you may reach out to an Advocate for guidance and steps.
