Sir! I was working in psu my annual salary above 8 lakhs. But my parents annual income is less than 1 lakh.I was married.Should I eligible for OBC NCL.Revenue department officers said that you are belongs to creamy layer only. They are considering family income. Now what should I do?
A.Dear client,
According to the current guidelines for OBC (Other Backward Classes) reservation in India, if your annual income is more than 8 lakhs per annum, you would generally fall under the "creamy layer" category. This means that you may not be eligible for reservation benefits under the OBC category.
The income criteria for OBC Non-Creamy Layer status usually includes the individual's income as well as the income of their parents. If your income is above the specified threshold, it may affect your eligibility for OBC reservation, regardless of your parents' income.
It's important to note that the specific rules and income limits for OBC reservation can vary by state government regulations. It's recommended to consult with a legal professional or an expert familiar with the OBC reservation policies in your jurisdiction for accurate and up-to-date information. They can provide guidance based on the specific guidelines applicable to your situation.
