Mental harassment by pg manager Mental harassment by pg manager

Hi, I’ve been staying in a pg in a triple share room and now my pg owner is mentally harassing me to convert the same room in which I’m living rn into a double share and pay more rent. They put a bed bug infested bed as well to inflict mental torture on me.
I don’t want to shift from this place.
Is this even legal?

A.Dear client,

Review your rental agreement: Carefully review your rental agreement or any other written agreements you have with the PG owner. Check for any specific terms regarding room sharing, rent increases, or the landlord's responsibilities towards maintaining a habitable living space.

Document the issues: Keep a record of any incidents of harassment, including dates, times, and descriptions of the events. If possible, take photographs or videos as evidence of the bed bug infestation or any other issues you encounter.

Communicate with the PG owner: Initiate a conversation with the PG owner or management to express your concerns and inform them about the problems you are facing. Clearly state your rights as a tenant and request that they address the issues promptly.

Seek legal advice: If the PG owner continues to harass you or fails to address the problems, consult with a lawyer who specializes in tenant rights. They can advise you on the specific laws and regulations applicable in your jurisdiction and guide you on how to proceed.

Contact local authorities: If the situation worsens or your concerns are not addressed, you may consider contacting local authorities, such as the local housing board or tenant rights organizations, to report the harassment and seek their assistance.
