Hello All,
I reside in a residential apartment in Bangalore. We are a bunch of bachelors living on rent in this building. We smoke in our home after returning from our work. As we do not smoke in public places we prefer coming home and smoke within our house. The family staying above us raised a complaint because the smoke was elevating to her house and affecting her kids. We understood the situation we went and apologized to them. We told them we'll make sure that all our windows are closed whenever we smoke. But the guy is asking us to not smoke in our own apartment, instead asked us to smoke in public place. Now we don't want to cause inconvenience to others as we know people have their right to rightfully stay away from the smoke. But does it give them the right to ask us to not smoke in our private space even though we assured them that windows will be closed whenever we smoke? Where do we stand in our issue? we do not want to be of any inconvenience to others, but can't we smoke inside our own bedrooms also now?

A.sir,
No person rise voice against individuals.You are smoking in your area (IN HOUSE).

A.Yes you can smoke Kindly take care not to disturb the health of others thats it. Actually that family has got to have concern for their children its natural. No one can stop you from smoking since the govt. has asked you not to smoke in public place so it is implied that smoking must be done at a place where there is no public or few public. So, there is none better place then home.

Thank You for your response. We understand smoking is not good for anyone, they are right at their part to protect their kids. That is the reason why as a courtesy we went and apologized and told them our windows will be closed at all times whenever we smoke. But the man was reluctant and was asking us not to smoke inside our home rather smoke on the Road. He says with closed windows still the smoke comes. We do not want any trouble but we feel this is an infringement of our rights. We understand their situation and we told them we'll close our windows instead of asking them to close theirs. I think that guy is just trying to Bully us because that is how society in general treats Bachelors.
