As a daughter my father gave me settlement for 1000 sq ft out of his 3000 sq ft. Remaining land is still in father's name. My father died 3 years before. Do I have right in the land which is in my father's name

A.Dear client,
As per the Hindu Succession Act, if your father died intestate and hasn't made a will regarding the property, you have the right to claim the remaining land provided you don't have siblings. If you do, then the land will be divided between you and your sibling
