A.Dear Client,
When a vehicle is stolen and you want police action, then either dial 112 immediately from the location or approach local police station having jurisdiction of the area. In some cases, an FIR can be filed remotely or online, but this may vary depending on the jurisdiction and local laws. In case your FIR is not lodged, you may file an application u/s 156(3) CRPC before the concerned magistrate. In all the cases, action will be taken by the concerned police station where the incident took place.

A.Dear client,

In general, if your bike was stolen in Uttarakhand but you are residing in Delhi, it is recommended to file a First Information Report (FIR) in the jurisdiction where the theft occurred. However, it can be helpful to inform the police in both Uttarakhand and Delhi about the theft.

Here are the steps you can consider taking:

File an FIR in Uttarakhand: Contact the local police station where the theft took place in Uttarakhand. Provide them with all the necessary details about the stolen bike, including the make, model, registration number, and any other identifiable features. They will register an FIR based on your complaint.

Inform the police in Delhi: It's advisable to also inform the police in Delhi about the theft and provide them with a copy of the FIR filed in Uttarakhand. They may assist you in tracking the stolen bike if it is found within their jurisdiction.

Follow up with both police departments: Stay in contact with the police in Uttarakhand and Delhi to provide any additional information or documentation they may require. It's important to maintain open communication with them regarding the progress of the investigation.
