Regarding obc ncl certificate
have a question regarding my obc ncl certificate. I am a native of Bihar. My father was born and brought up in Bihar and he has a state level caste certificate of Bihar. But due to work he came to Bengal and i was born and brought up in Bengal and my schooling is done in Bengal.
I belong to obc ncl and even got the certificate from bihar as that's my native place and my father has certificate of Bihar. But in my neet application form i write my present and permanent address of Bengal as I have lived in Bengal my whole life. And even in my addhar the address is of Bengal. I don't have any other certificate in which Bihar's address is mentioned. I only have caste certificate of Bihar. So will it be a problem in neet counseling if while going through the documents they see that my address is of Bengal but caste certificate is of Bihar?
Sec,20 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950 defines "ordinarily resident" as under - Sub-Sec.(1) A person shall not be deemed to be ordinarily resident in a constituency on the ground only that he owns, or is in possession of, a dwelling house therein. Sub-Sec.(1A) A person absenting himself temporarily from his place of ordinary residence shall not by reason thereof cease to be ordinarily resident therein. Being the above proposition of relevant law, In your case, the OBC- NCL certificate must be of the prescribed format as suggested in the NEET- UG guidelines. The signature of the official must confirm that you are a domicile/resident of the Area when you apply for any particular Category. The authenticity of the certificate only confirms your Category during document verification. So, if your OBC NCL certificate is issued by any of the competent authorities and is as per the prescribed proforma by NTA then you can use it for Neet application form filling and all India counselling. So, to clarify your query you need to get in touch with the NEET Or NTA for first-hand information to avoid any kind of embarrassing consequences arising out of document verification during the counseling.
