He is a government teacher. My mother has been facing domestic violence for 25 years. my father is an alcoholic During these years, he did some such acts of alcohol: ..1)one night he Open the gas cylinder and keeping it in front of my mother and us, closing the house and lighting a fire.
2)All of us children had gone to school, at the same time my father hit my mother's thighs very hard with a bat, my mother screamed very loudly, which made the neighbors come
3)My father also once hit my mother on the hand with scissors, due to which she got 7 stitches.
4)They ask my mother for dowry after 10 years of marriage and also use abusive words against my mother's family.

A.Dear client,
You can lodge a complaint or an FIR against your at your nearest police station.
You can also file a case against your father under section 498A of IPC for mental harassment. Section 12 of Domestic Violence Act can also be used to support your claim. Provisions under Dowry Prohibition Act can also be used.
In case, your father does not want to give divorce to your mother, you may file a divorce petition on the ground of cruelty provided under Section 13(1) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955.
