A.Dear Client,
In general, the OBC-NCL category is meant to provide certain benefits and reservations to individuals who belong to the Other Backward Classes and do not fall under the creamy layer. The creamy layer refers to individuals within the OBC category who are considered relatively more economically advanced.

The income limit to determine the creamy layer status is usually revised periodically by the government. As of my knowledge till September 2021, the income limit for creamy layer status for OBC candidates was set at Rs. 8 lakhs per annum.

To determine whether your child qualifies for OBC-NCL category, you would need to assess their eligibility based on the income criteria specified for the relevant financial year. If your income for the financial year 2022-23 is less than Rs. 8 lakhs, it is possible that your child may qualify as non-creamy layer under the OBC-NCL category. However, it is important to note that there may be other factors and requirements to be considered, such as documentation and proof of OBC-NCL status, specific reservations or benefits sought, and any conditions or criteria set by educational institutions or authorities.
Thank you.
