A.Dear Client,
The High Court is empowered to entertain and try a petition made under Article 226 of the Constitution by a person aggrieved by a decision of a lower Court passed in the recruitment process of any reserved category based on merit in the petition and if any miscarriage of law or infringement of fundamental right of the petitioner appears on the face of the record. As regards the submission of caste and income certificate by a married woman, it is informed that if the husband belongs to OBC then she need not apply from the father's side, or else she needs to apply from the father's side. A woman whether married or unmarried, is eligible for OBC NCL category privilege based on her father's status.

A.Dear Client,
1. Power of High Court: The High Court, as the highest court within a state, has powers of judicial review. This allows it to examine the legality, validity, and fairness of governmental actions, including recruitment processes and reservation criteria. If an individual or a group believes that the reservation criteria in a recruitment process are arbitrary, discriminatory, or violate constitutional provisions, they may approach the High Court seeking appropriate relief or remedy.

2. Rule on Caste and Income Certificates for Married Women: The specific rule or requirement for a married woman to submit caste and income certificates in their parents' name may differ depending on the state and the governing laws. In some cases, the requirement may exist to establish lineage or eligibility for reservation benefits. It is important to consult the relevant state laws, rules, or notifications issued by the concerned authorities to ascertain the specific requirements in your jurisdiction.
Thank you.
