A.Dear Client,
I'm sorry to hear about your situation. To ensure that you receive the family pension as a surviving unmarried daughter of a Bank of India pensioner, you should take the following steps:

Contact the Bank of India Pension Department: Reach out to the Pension Department of Bank of India through the appropriate channel. You can visit your nearest Bank of India branch or contact their customer service to obtain the contact details for the Pension Department.

Submit a Formal Written Application: Prepare a formal written application addressed to the Pension Department. In the application, clearly state your request for the family pension as the surviving unmarried daughter of the late pensioner. Include all relevant details, such as your name, relationship with the pensioner, and any reference numbers or identification details related to your father's pension.

Provide Supporting Documents: Include copies of all necessary supporting documents with your application. This may include the following:

Your birth certificate to establish your relationship with the pensioner.
Your father's PPO (Pension Payment Order) document.
A copy of your mother's death certificate, as her demise is also relevant to your eligibility.
Follow Up Regularly: After submitting your application, follow up with the Pension Department regularly to check the status of your request. You may need to make inquiries through phone calls or emails. Keep records of all communications.

Seek Legal Assistance: If the bank does not respond or provide the family pension as per the rules and regulations, you may consider seeking legal assistance. Consult with an attorney who specializes in pension and retirement benefit matters. They can provide guidance on how to proceed with a legal claim if necessary.

Contact Banking Ombudsman: If you face significant delays or issues in obtaining the family pension, you can also consider filing a complaint with the Banking Ombudsman, which is an independent authority that handles grievances related to banking services.

Document Everything: Throughout the process, keep records of all documents, correspondence, and interactions with the bank and other relevant authorities. This documentation can be crucial if you need to escalate the matter.

It's important to be persistent in your efforts to claim the family pension, as you are entitled to it as a surviving unmarried daughter of the pensioner.
Thank you.
