I'm staying in current property for rent more than 5 yrs. Some landlord relatives interested in their property for rent. So landlord putting pressure to vacate immediately. Yesterday he submitted petition to police. I got call from station to visit and give letter when I'll vacate. I want guidance to get some time in vacating around 3 to 6 months.

There is no pending in rent or maintenance as of now. Even one time, when I've delayed landlord demanded Rs.14000 extra and got from me. Nowhere I kept arrear in payment.

A.Dear Client,

Carefully read through your rental agreement to understand the terms and conditions, including the notice period required by both parties for termination. This document will be crucial in establishing your rights and responsibilities. It's important to cooperate with the police but also communicate your side of the story. Explain that you have been a responsible tenant, have no outstanding dues, and are willing to follow the law. Ask for reasonable time to vacate the property. In some cases, you may have the option to file a stay application in the appropriate court, seeking a stay on eviction proceedings. This can buy you more time to prepare for your move. If your landlord is attempting to forcibly evict you without following legal procedures, you may have grounds to file a complaint against them for harassment.

A.Dear Sir,
It is purely a civil case as such normally the police cannot interfere. Please take some time from police then suit for permanent injunction restraining the land lord evicting you without following due course of law that is he has to issue legal notice then file a suit for eviction.
