A.Dear Client,
A building constructed by one from his own source on undivided ancestral land is considered to be ancestral property and all the legal heirs are entitled to claim an equal share in the said ancestral property by birth. So, your father cannot disentitle you from your right. To get a share in the ancestral property, you being a legal heir need to file a partition suit before the Civil Court for an order of partition of the property. Reach out to an Advocate for guidance and steps.

A.Dear Client,
If the building that has been constructed on ancestral land is considered self-acquired property, it may not be subject to the same rules of inheritance as ancestral property. Self-acquired property can typically be disposed of or willed according to the owner's wishes.
