Is it a crime to chat with a call girl

Hi, I have chatted with a call girl and the contexts were sexual in nature.. she gave me a hotel address but I refused to meet her.. now they are claiming money from me by saying that my profile has been updated in their database and I need to pay 1.5 lakhs to remove it.. they are threatening that if I don't pay they will share my number with police.. i am 90% sure that this is a scam and money extortion call.. can anyone please help me understand my next steps
