A.Dear Client,
Cancellation of booking of flat on rent by the owner at the last hours without any information may be termed a breach of contract and a deficiency in service that incurs financial loss and harassment. Standalone return of token money cannot be the right compensation towards the ordeal faced by you on last hour cancellation of the booking. So you need to file a complaint against the owner of the Flat under Sec.35 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 before the Dist. Consumer Commission claiming a hefty amount of compensation for harassment and mental agony. Reach out to an Advocate for guidance and steps.

A.Dear Client,
Firstly, examine the rental agreement you signed with the property owner. Look for any clauses related to cancellations, breaches of contract, or dispute resolution. This document will be crucial in determining your rights and the owner's obligations. Further, keep records of all communication with the property owner, including emails, messages, and any other written or verbal agreements. This documentation will be important if you need to take legal action. If the rental agreement was registered with the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), you can file a complaint with RERA against the owner for breach of contract and seek appropriate compensation.
