Is Registered lease and license agreements of duration less than 11 month covered by rent control laws in India? Is it better not to register lease and license agreements of duration less than 11 month to avoid rent control laws which is highly in favour of tenant. I am not trying to avoid registration cost but want to avoid rent control laws which is highly in favour of tenant.

Is Registered lease and license agreements of duration less than 11 month covered by rent control laws in India?
Is it better not to register lease and license agreements of duration less than 11 month to avoid rent control laws which is highly in favour of tenant. I am not trying to avoid registration cost but want to avoid rent control laws which is highly in favour of tenant.

A.U should register it minimum 11 months time period for agreement . If u are not prepared any agreement then it's Ur responsibility for any wrong

Yes, to avoid complications it is better to have less than eleven month rent agreement and on the end of eleven month get renew rent agreement if you feel comfortable with the tenant.
