A.Dear Client,
If the Magistrate has granted monthly maintenance and residential rights in your domestic violence case but has not awarded compensation under Sections 20 and 22 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, you have the option to file an appeal seeking compensation. In your appeal, you can present grounds supporting the need for compensation considering the circumstances of the domestic violence you have faced.
While specific case laws may depend on the jurisdiction and the details of your case, it's advisable to consult with a family law attorney who can guide you on relevant precedents. A legal professional can assess the specifics of your situation, provide advice on the likelihood of success in an appeal for compensation, and help you build a strong case. Ensure that your appeal is filed within the stipulated time frame as per the applicable legal provisions to preserve your right to seek compensation for the domestic violence you have endured.
Thankyou
