Society has put boards saying be - No pets allowed here
3 months ago
My Society has put boards saying ‘No pets allowed here’ all over the place. In Roads and in the society park. They also threaten people to not bring their dog to the society park. How can this issue be resolved as everyone should have the right to use the park. Even leashed dogs are not being allowed without any reason. There has never been an incident or mishap that has involved a dog.
A.1) ‘No pets allowed here’ is unacceptable as mostly 20% of the persons have pets in their home
2) Even the High Court of Bombay has given favorable judgements relating to pet dogs in society
3) Animal NGOs protect the interest of the pet animals
4) Kindly let us know in which city you BELONG & we will make sure that your pet enters the society premises

A.Dear Client,
To address the issue of the "No pets allowed" rule in your society, you can initiate a constructive dialogue with the society's management or committee. Gather support from fellow residents who share a similar concern and present a petition advocating for the right of residents to use the park with their leashed pets. Highlight responsible pet ownership practices, such as using leashes and cleaning up after pets, to address any concerns the management may have. If the society has a governing body or committee, express your views during their meetings or, if possible, propose a discussion on the topic. Emphasize that a compromise can be reached to ensure the enjoyment of communal spaces for all residents, including those with pets. If the issue persists, you may consider seeking legal advice on the matter and understanding the legal rights of pet owners in your locality.
Thankyou
