i feed a stray dog whose one leg is injured, initially i tried to feed her away from the colony but as our colony is open from many areas and its not that secured that it can prevent stray dogs to enter in our colony i started feeding her in front of our house so that it doesn’t attract other dogs in the society, she doesn’t bite humans and she is very friendly but she sometimes chew seats of scooters which are parked on roads not in anyone’s house. people of my society are giving me warnings that i can’t feed her and if i want to feed her i should adopt her but i already have one pet dog. so my question is that am i doing a wrong thing by feeding her and am i allowed to feed her according to the law?

A.Dear Client,
Feeding a stray dog with a compassionate intention is a kind gesture, but it's important to be mindful of potential concerns and legal aspects. While feeding stray animals is generally considered a humane act, the issues with property damage, such as chewing scooter seats, may lead to concerns within your community.
To navigate this situation, consider engaging with local animal welfare organizations or municipal authorities to discuss the best way to care for the injured stray dog. They can provide guidance on legal and ethical aspects of feeding strays. In some places, there might be specific guidelines or rules regarding the care of stray animals.

Adopting the injured dog may be a practical solution if feasible, but if not, collaborating with local authorities can help strike a balance between compassion for the stray and maintaining a harmonious living environment within your community. Open communication with your neighbors about your intentions and efforts may also foster understanding and support.
Thankyou
