Sir my grandfather took shop for business in 1997 for rent deposited rs 10 lakhs at that time to owner and there is no agreement of rental but have rental receipts know owner telling to vacat the shop and give only 10 lakhs can I file case to give amount as today value
A.Dear client, you can get only the 10lakhs which you security deposited for rent but not the amount of today's value. There's no rule or practice of such nature. If there is any clause in the agreement to give today's value then it can be enforceable. As the agreement it self is not there the owner can't be held liable.

A.Dear Sir,
It is not known whether you are taking a stand of lease holder or tenant. Then file a suit for permanent injunction as you are enjoying the property in the said capacity and you cannot be evicted illegally without due course of law.
