My Ex-Girlfriend's False Accusations are Ruining My Life
I recently went through a very painful breakup with my ex-girlfriend. Despite promises to stay together, she ended things right before I left for a family ceremony honoring my mother's death retiual.

Before leaving, she made staying together contingent on me devoting more time to her. Initially, communication was normal while I was at the village. However, after a week, she blocked me on all channels.
With crucial exams (IELTS and GRE) looming for my master's studies abroad, I explained my situation and requested normalcy until my tests. She ignored my pleas and started making false accusations about me.

Deeply concerned, I tried contacting her after returning to Mumbai. Hoping to clear the air, I reached out to a mutual friend. Despite the friend's initial promise for a face-to-face meeting, it never materialized, and my ex continued her accusations.

Even after undergoing surgery, I made another attempt for an in-person meeting. Shockingly, she escalated the situation by accusing me of harassment and emotional manipulation, even threatening self-harm.

Throughout the relationship, she used threats as a manipulative tactic. She would threaten to confront my family if I didn't comply with her demands. However, whenever I tried to address her accusations, she would refuse to talk.

This constant stress and anxiety caused a mental breakdown, culminating in a heart attack that landed me in ICU for two days with subsequent angiography surgery.

While recovering in the hospital, a friend of hers messaged me questioning the legitimacy of my heart attack, causing further stress upon waking up paralyzed.

To make matters worse, she lied to her friend about my family coming home, further escalating the situation. The promised meeting to clear the air was repeatedly postponed by her friend.

This entire ordeal has severely impacted my health, exam preparation, career prospects, and reputation.
Despite my attempts to communicate and resolve the situation, neither of them has shown remorse or understanding.

Current Situation:
Having been discharged from the hospital with doctor's orders to avoid stress, I simply wanted to clear the misunderstanding with my ex friend that my ex has spread false allegations. However, she refused a face-to-face meeting, insisting on phone calls. After politely requesting an in-person discussion due to the limitations of phone calls, I received a negative response and stopped contacting her.

This afternoon, her friend started harassing me again with false allegations, ignoring my pleas to stop. There was even a mistaken call to her phone, which I immediately texted about. She insisted I talk to her boyfriend, claiming I'm harassing her. In my weakened state, I informed her I couldn't talk to anyone at the moment and confided in a friend about her harassment.

Both Tinal (her friend) and her boyfriend are now threatening to file a police complaint for harassment, even though she initiated the situation with false accusations that affected both my mental and physical health.

Legal Action:
I'm at my wit's end. This situation has severely impacted my life. Their false accusations during my mental breakdown have tarnished my image. Can I take legal action against Tinal and her boyfriend?

Questions:
What steps should I take?

What legal actions can be explored?

Considering my call recordings and WhatsApp chats as evidence, can my lawyer send them a cease and desist notice to stop harassing me?

Location:
My legal jurisdiction is Andheri, Mumbai.

A.Dear Client,

Legal remedies cannot be predicted based on assumptions until a cause of action arises. While there is no specific statute addressing protective measures against false allegations or complaints in the Indian legal system, relevant sections of various laws like the Indian Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure, Code of Civil Procedure, and the Indian Evidence Act can be utilized to address frivolous claims. It's advisable to seek legal advice when a cause of action arises to determine appropriate remedies. In the meantime, you can send a strong legal notice to your estranged ex-girlfriend warning against making false complaints or accusations, though its effectiveness cannot be guaranteed.

Please get in touch with my team mates by calling or sending a text at 7604047601/2 and my Vidhikarya team shall do the needful if you wish to go ahead.
Anyways in the meantime it is suggested that you keep calm and do not send any kind of message or mail that can agitate the matter further bringing more heartburns to all.

A.Dear Client,
Until and unless a cause of action arises, legal remedies cannot be forecasted based on apprehension/assumption. Even though there is no specific statute or provision in the Indian legal system that lists down protective measures against any false allegation or complaint, various relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure, Code of Civil Procedure, and the Indian Evidence Act can be used parallelly to obtain relief or initiate legal proceedings against frivolous allegations and complaints. So, revert to us whenever any cause of action arises to enable us to provide specific legal remedies that suit your cause of action and the situation. However, in the given situation, you can serve a strong legal notice to your estranged ex-girlfriend cautioning her to refrain from making any false complaint or accusation against you, which may work or may not work, but it may help you if a false complaint is lodged against in future.
