Regarding approval needed for publishing blog post Regarding approval needed for publishing blog post

I have recently written a blog post and have shared the insights of person without revealing their identity with their consent. No where I have not mentioned about her work or her organization. Should I still need approval from her organization to publish this blog post?

A.Dear Client,

It's important to consider the content of your blog before posting it, especially when it involves discussing individuals or companies. Writing positive content is generally acceptable, but negative or damaging content could lead to legal repercussions under the Copyright Act, 1957. It's advisable to avoid disclosing sensitive information about internal processes, projects, or documentation without proper authorization. In some cases, signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) may be necessary before discussing certain topics. Ultimately, it's safest to seek permission from the individuals or organizations involved before publishing any content on social media.

In case the identity of the person and the company are not revealed then you can go ahead without seeking the consent of the organization.

A.Dear Client,
It certainly depends on what you want to write about them, If you write something good about a person or the company then it's okay. But in the case of the damaging contents in the blog, it may liable you to face legal consequences for violation of the Copyright Act, 1957. You can mention things in the blog that do not speak about their internal process or projects or documentation, but ideally, it is not considered ethical to do so. Even if required, you have to sign an NDA or non-disclosure agreement with the concerned person/organization. So, it's better and safer to get permission from the concerned person or organization before writing and posting a blog on social media.
