I have 2 E challans pending on my Delhi numbered vehicle from up court which were transferred to regular court. Challans are in up court. As i am out of state, i won't be able to physically be present in court to clear that. Can the challan be cleared without me being present in court with help of an lawyer?

A.Dear Client,
A traffic E- Challan is an electronic, computer-generated version of the normal Traffic fine or Traffic ‘Challan’ which can be paid online at echallan.parivahan.gov.in. It ensures transparency and prevents loss of revenue to the state. A traffic challan is required to be paid within 60 days of issuance. If the same is not paid, a Court summons is issued, and the person has the opportunity to settle the matter before the concerned Court. In case you are unable to attend the court in person, you can execute a Vakalatnama in favour of your Advocate who can represent your case before the Court on the date fixed for the hearing.
