So this a problem i face in a residential society i stay on rent in India.
I am living in the same society since January 2017. I purchased a new vehicle (two wheeler) in Oct 2018.
In June 2019 one day I was stopped by security guard from entering asking me to make an entry. I informed the gate keeper that i am a resident of this society. But he insisted to make an entry reasoning that i do not have a ' society sticker' to identify the vehicle. I was agitated because suddenly one day getting stopped was not okay in my understanding since lack of sticker could not have been a reason for so long, while i was regularly going out and entering without any issue. The security supervisor intervened. The matter was pacified and i was given a sticker after making due entries. I attached the sticker in the rear of my vehicle.
There after a gap of 2 months , today i was stopped again on the same ground by the same security supervisor who also said i would be stopped every day. He insisted to attach a sticker in front or else i will have to go through this every day.
At this time i reported this to the same person who was acting president last time and also was handling security matters. The president who said i am not responsible since the society 'samiti' has been recently dissolved and no one is owning up the responsibility. I was told to check the bylaws which according to previous office holder mentions the sticker to be attached only on the front. I went to the society office to check the bylaws but i was NOT shown the bylaws. All my society dues are all clear as we make timely payments.
I feel harassed.what should i do?
