Hi sir...am vijaya from hyderabad. My husband is a pvt employee. We have a 8 yrs boy child. My husband is having one elder brother and a younger sister. The r married and also having children. My father in law expired in 2009 after retirement as an asst engineer in irrigation dept. My mother in law expired in 2019 may. They made no will. My father in law purchased a house and a opn plot at his native place with his earnings and got registered in the name of my mother in law. PF and gratuity benefits were all made fixed deposits in banks in her name only. After her death, when my husband went through the bank passbooks and other important documents, we found zero balances in all the accounts. And it were all taken by my brother in law. Gold, silver, original documents of the properties are all stolen by him only without my husband's knowledge. Even after my mother in law's death, he used her bank account for his upi transactions without informing the bank to close her account. He made withdrawal onetime using her debit card. Without my mother in law's knowledge, when she was alive only, he linked his phonepe account to my mother in law's pension account of SBI and transferred lakhs of rupees to his personal ICICI bank account. Now when my husband is asking abt all these illegal activities he is giving evasive replies and threatening us that he can go to any extent for the sake of property. He is unwilling to come for settlement or partition. Even relatives are also helpless in this regard. So pls suggest me how to proceed. What to do? We r not affordable to consult a big lawyer. And also can't go round the courts for justice. What is that one serious step that we can take against my brother in law, so that he himself comes for a settlement? How can we file criminal charges against him? If we for for a partition suit, he will not b afraid. He will make us roam round the courts. He can spend money as he obtained in a falseful way. But we r in that position. So pleaaase kindly help me
