It is better go for mutual divorce and which is you have to decide the quantum of alimony which you wish to receive from your husband. Normally, he may not accept so better file other cases to bring him to terms. Six months schooling period will be there in case of mutual divorce cases.

In consultation with your advocates the mediator may prepare draft mutual separation agreement and file will be return to the concerned Court. You have to submit the demand draft to the Court along with gold articles etc., under a list and get acknowledgment in the Open Court.

Yes, the online display system of Courts is not perfect so you have to physically visit the concerned section of the Court and verify the file physically and also verify the registered posts returned with endorsements of postal authorities thereon.

it is high time that the notice stage should be passed. Usually, 3-4 notices are issued to the defendant and after that, the next stage proceeds. You can change your lawyer by getting a NOC ( no objection certificate ) from the old lawyer and submitting it to the new lawyer.

A. What case have you filed? is it a divorce case? If yes then consult your lawyer who should take action to move the petition fast. Ask him the reason why the case is lingering and not moving ahead.
