Does 10% quota for economically weaker applies to Admissions in medical colleges too? If yes, what is the procedure? Does it applies on state quota or Central or both. Will it have significant impact


A. The 10% EWS quota is likely to be applied on admission to medical colleges
as because by doing so the reservation has to be increased by 25% in both govt and private sector which is 15% as of now and doing so is next to impossible unless there is change made in 'THE INDIAN MEDICAL COUNCIL ACT'
Also the ministry of health has said that to increase and to apply the 10% EWS quota in the medical colleges without affecting the upper class poor is literally impossible.
