Securirty deposit refund from owner

If rental agreement has 2 months notice and as a tenant, I vacate the flat 1 month prior due to some urgency, can I get 1 month security deposit back ? Is it a breach of the agreement? Landlord is not ready to refund my 1-month security deposit, even though I haven't stayed on last month.
A.As per normal law only 1 month Notice is applicable. Ask him to take 50% of the amount for 1 month & solve it tactfully.
