Replacement of general category employee by S.C candidate
5 years ago
Sir, I have a question regarding service matter. I am working as a contract assistant professor in a govt. College in Chandigarh for last 7 months. I was in a waiting list and later got appointment. I got appointment against sanctioned post and in the general category. Recently, the UPSC took the interview in the same subject as is of mine for a schedule caste post. The post was advertised in 2013 .Sir , I have a doubt that the above candidate may replace me because I am the junior most. Sir with due respect, i want to ask that is it legally right to replace a general contract candidate with permanent S.C candidate ? Is it not against the law to replace general candidate with SC or vice versa?
I am eagerly waiting for ur reply. Thank you.

It all depends of the terms of notifications and back log seats of SC. It can be replaced if for example SC candidate was not available then on temporary basis a general candidate may be taken and later replaced. Please approach Tribunal/ High Court.
