16 years back i worked in USA where i met the father of my child. He is the citizen of India and I am the citizen of Lithuania. We both had a relationship for some time. I got pregnant and went back home. He didn't recognized this child , he is married. But he supported him financially at the begining. Now it' about 7 years since I talked to him. He cut off all communication with me. I have puctures of him and me in Usa, emails. Postcards. I know that he lives in Purulia and works in Carnival Cruiseclines in USA. I also have vontacts oh his daughter and wife on facebook. I talked to his daughter on facebook - she said her father denied everything. My questoon would be if it is possible to find him and apply for child maintenance and what court should I apply Indian or Lithuanian? I applied to attorneys here in Lithuania, but they said it would be too difficult to find him. So I stopped. Ligita

ANS- FIRST we will have to locate him & find him to send him a Legal Notice. It can done once we can find him. It is a slightly costly process but we can definitely find him & get the things done for Child rights & Maintenance. The Lithuania shall not be able to find him but the Indians can...find as in Purulia we can find him legally & also do the next procedures as per your requirements..... What is to be done further do let us know

A.Ideally you should file case in India but even if you file in Lithuania it is comity of court which they have between courts of two countries and respect decision of another court so you can file there too.
as far as law is concerned if he is father court will certainly get this child his legitimate right and maintenance too.
contact some lawyer your case is strong.

A.Dear client
You can claim every right for your child and get relief from court.
You need to collect his contact address and send him notice then file case for maintainance as well as if there is ancestral property you can claim for share of your child.
