I was given my shop to a tenant for last 7years. The agreement was expired on dec 2019. The teanant not opening his shop from october 2019 till now and he refuses to leave.we filed a complaint to police station and no trust for getting right. Please suggest what can be done on this.

A.1. you can serve him a legal notice through a lawyer to make payment of the outstanding rent amount along with the interest & to evict the shop,
2. if payment is not made despite service of the legal notice, you can file a civil suit to evict the shop and also for the recovery of the amount,

A.As The agreement has expired on dec 2019, teh term is over & so we can get the vacating of our premises. We can get it done by various means all available in India. Do mention the State, district & City & the legal team can ensure it for the same.

A.Get issue a legal notice under section 106 of Transfer of Property Act and then file a Eviction Suit.
