Victim family compensation in suicide sec 306

A relative of mine committed suicide because a girl used him and mentally tortured him, later gave him threats to file a fake case against him, now there is no one to run his family, can his family get compensation from the girls family?

A.If you have evidence then IPC 306 can be filed.
she will face criminal charge and if convicted then she will get prison as punishment .
There is no concept of compensation from accused that too from accused family. However the court will impose fine which is given to family of victim. but it will be so less that it will not pay rent for 2 months.

A.Hello.
They can file a case for abatement to suicide, an FIR can be filed from the family of the deceased.. showing that the person has died due to harassment & mental torture . However , under the s 306 IPC there is no monetary compensation. The only relief is that the person(girl) will go to jail.
