Verbal abuse and getting threats of physical harm

I'm being verbally abused and getting threats of physical harm by my friends family because she ran away from her home and got married to her boyfriend although I don't have any kin of involvement in her marriage her family thinks I have a involvement in her marriage I did knew about her relationship but she said if I tell anything about her relationship to her family she will take her life that's the only reason I didn't tell her family I'm being mentally harassed and I'm a college student,this affecting me badly please help

A.their daughter can marry anyone after 18 years of age.
if they dont like it then they can not harass a third person,
ask them to stop their acts that you will report to police.
if they still not stop, then dont be afraid and give written report in police station.
