Additional money deducted by employer for medical insurance Additional money deducted by employer for medical insurance

My employer has changed the medical insurance in the middle of the year. And has deducted additional money from my salary for the medical insurance. It is only mentioned as "Med Deduction" in my salary slip. But hasn't been updated in the overall CTC against the Medical Insurance component. Now, when I'm asking them whether the CTC will be updated or is there any way I can claim tax benefits for the money I paid on behalf of my employer as Medical Insurance is employer's responsibility, they are ignoring my messages and emails. Please advise, whether it is legal to deduct money from employees like that or not. And what should I do to get the tax benefit and get the CTC corrected?
