Caste certificate and conversion. Caste certificate and conversion.

I'm having SC hindu certificate though parents and me practicing Christianity since my childhood. My parents were unaware of the law and didn't take any conversion certificate and continued as sc. If i get a job in sc reservation, what are prospective effects on my job? Or shall i take conversion certificate now and apply as BC-C (OBC)? Or can i take certificate after securing job in sc reservation?

A.Hi,
Being an SC entitles you to several benefits(reservations) which you could make use of to further your career. However, if you are a practicing Christian, you can apply for the caste conversion certificate before securing a new job, as it will be easier to sort out the paperwork. If your employers become aware of the fact that you willfully misrepresented your caste to them, you can be subject to legal action.

A.Hi,
It would be better if you applied for the conversion certificate before securing a new job.
There will be no negative effects on your job prospects unless it can be proved that you intentionally misrepresented your caste.
