Dear sir
I wish to introduce myself as R. Rajaram working as assistant professor and my salary is more than eight lakhs per year. My parents are farmers and they are no more. Both are expired. Here my question is, can I eligible for obc?
With above eligibility, I have applied obc and they rejected based on my salary.
Sir, I need a clarification in this regard. Please help me.
Sincerely
R. Rajaram
A.Hi,
You caste will be determined by the caste certificate you were issued at birth. If you are an OBC, you will fall within its creamy layer due to your high income.

A.Hi,
This will depend on what caste certificate was issued to you at birth, if one was issued. It can be either of your parents' caste.
Earning is not a criteria to qualify for OBC status, if you are an OBC, you will fall within the creamy layer.
