Can women take up mothers caste

My mother belongs to ST and my father OBC. I want to take up my mother caste is it possible. Due to interface marriage, my father's family made him undergo another marriage before we were born. So is it possible I can get an ST certificate

You cannot change the caste you were born with. However, you will be able to file a writ petition if you believe you were wrongly classified at birth.

A.Hi,
Your caste is whatever is printed on your birth certificate. You cannot change it unless there has been a bona fide error.
