I have a new tenant ,the new tenant wants to apply a new meter in his company name? Can I , Landlord give consent to apply for a new electric meter in the name of company? Is it beneficial to do so?What are the advantages and disadvantages regarding a new electric meter?
A.Unless the EB meter is in repair you are not suppose to change , if you change it should be surely in landlord's name only.

A.Hi,
No, the tenant cannot put in a new meter under his name.
You are the landowner and you can consent to the same. There is no reason to change the meter unless the old one is defective.

A.Hi,
No, he cannot apply for a new meter under his name as you are the landowner.
You can consent to the same if you have reason to believe the old meter is not working properly.
