My landlord forcibly vacated us without giving atleast one month notice even though I have one month advance withthe landlord. He behaved rudely with my family. How can I take legal action against him.

A.Hi,
You can claim damages under the Karnataka Rent Act.
You can also file a complaint with the police for use of force and criminal intimidation under Sections 349, 503 and 506 IPC.

A.You can file complaint with police under section 145 cr.p.c. and also case under section 6 of specific relief Act. The act of landlord is illegal. Under said provisions you shall be immediately reinstated in the premises irrespective of claim or contention of landlord if any.
