We are 4 siblings who are to divide the ancestral property among us. One of us is asking for 8 foot wide road to access his share in the property. His argument is that he wants ambulance should be able to come inside to his share incase necessary in future. Our property otherwise is on main road and is very much accessible for any bigger vehicle which come till main entrance of the house. the distance from main entrance to his portion is approx 10 to 15 steps. Can he still claim such passage as a matter of right?

A.Hi,
Ancestral property has to be divided equally. His claim will not succeed unless it is consented to by all legal heirs.
